Lock & Twist Gel for the Natural Look

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009
If you’re looking for a product to use when beginning and re-twisting locks, or for perfecting those two-strand twists, use Organic Root Stimulator Lock & Twist Gel. It is non-sticky and non-coating, which is important when you apply them to locks.
The Lock & Twist Gel absorbs into the hair and not sit on top of it. This also makes your hair look natural as your twists, locks or coils to move freely.
Applying the gel to freshly shampooed and conditioned hair, and after styling, is a good method for twists, locks and coils. You can also apply it to dry hair without worrying about flaking.
The amount you use depends on the thickness of your hair, but you don’t have to use an excessive amount to get satisfactory hold. If you need to freshen up a style, you can apply more gel, which soaks into your hair much like water. Applying the gel to wet hair and combing through allows the two textures to blend together. The gel works just as well for creating coils on short, natural hair.

Daily Care for Curly Hair
In thing or not, curls should be managed well. My curls aren’t natural but I really want to keep it this way. There are simple ways on how to maintain your curls without using harmful chemicals that could damage your hair.  You do not want your hair to look frizzy either so start pampering those curls!
There are some things that you should remember. Avoid washing your hair every day. The natural oil keeps your hair healthy and shiny and soft. It is also good to re-mist your curls during the day if your curls are flat. After taking a bath, you also want to use a conditioner to combat hair damage. However, using a heavy conditioner can pull your curls down so you might want to consider a light conditioner.  Make sure that you rinse it thoroughly to get rid of the residue. Use a wide toothed combed to remove tangles. If your hair is frizzy, you must go for a moisturiser to define and condition your hair. Lastly, let your hair dry naturally.
For great hold- use Blended Beauty’s Jelly Cream. It is a soft hold moisturizing gel lotion that defines and conditions curls, while nourishing the scalp and hair. Smooth and define each curl with natural conditioners. Absolutely no plastics! Only silky and bouncy curls…naturally!
Directions: Apply to clean, damp, detangled hair in small sections and smooth through completely. Style with fingers, not a comb, to reduce poof.
Jelly Cream Ingredients: Aqua (enriched with/enrichi avec Aloe Barbadensis and Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile)), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Glycerin, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Capryl Isostearate, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol, Soy Lecithin, Perfume, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Preservative [Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol and Sorbic Acid], Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Silk Powder.

Here are some points to remember:

  • Avoid washing your hair every day or the natural oil keeps your hair healthy and shiny and soft won’t have a chance to spread down the hair shaft.
  • It’s  good to re-mist your curls during the day if your curls are flat.
  • Always condition your hair after washing it.  A light conditioner for regular use and a more intense conditioner for periodic use.  Make sure that you rinse it thoroughly to get rid of the residue.
  • Use a wide toothed combed to remove tangles. If your hair is frizzy, you must go for a moisturiser to define and condition your hair.
